Our mission is to bring everyone the support and human connection they need to feel heard, understood, and less alone. To do that, we show you personalized content and connect you with listeners we think will be most helpful to you, based on information we collect about your preferences and needs. We only use that information where we have a proper legal basis for doing so.
We wrote this policy to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have about it. Because we're a digital platform, some of the concepts below are a little technical, but we've tried our best to explain things in a simple and clear way. HeloDear Technologies Pvt. Ltd. built the HeloDear application as a platform to provide users with emotional support, human connection, and mental wellness tools through trained volunteer listeners.
When you sign up for or use the HeloDear platform, you voluntarily share certain information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. This may include:

All listener sessions on HeloDear are end-to-end encrypted. Session content is not accessible to HeloDear staff, is not stored on our servers after the session ends (unless you choose to save notes), and is never used for advertising, AI training, or any other purpose.
When you use the HeloDear platform, our servers automatically record information ("log data"), including information that your browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website, or that our mobile app automatically sends when you're using it. This log data includes:

For example, if you frequently connect with listeners specializing in anxiety support, we may infer that anxiety-related resources would be helpful to you and surface them in your feed.
We may also infer information about your emotional wellness needs based on your activity patterns. These inferences are used solely to improve your experience on the platform and are never shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

If you choose to enable contact sharing features within the HeloDear app, you voluntarily permit us to access your contact list solely for the purpose of making it easier for you to invite friends to the platform or share wellness resources with people you care about.
The contact information we access will be used purely and legally by us only for this stated purpose. We will not use that information to sell, resell, or for any commercial purpose. If you do not permit us to access your contact list, you will still be able to use all core features of the Service — contact access is entirely optional.
The HeloDear platform may contain links to other websites and resources, including mental health organizations, crisis helplines, and wellness content. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us.
Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of any website you visit through a link on our platform. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
The HeloDear Service is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at [email protected] so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
The HeloDear name, logo, and brand identity are proprietary to HeloDear Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and are protected under applicable trademark and copyright laws in India, including the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and the Copyright Act, 1957.
Any unauthorized use, reproduction, copying, or distribution of the HeloDear name, logo, content, or any other proprietary material from the platform constitutes infringement and HeloDear reserves the right to take legal action against any infringer to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You retain ownership of any personal content you create on the platform. By using the Service, you grant HeloDear a limited, non-exclusive license to use your content solely to provide the Service to you.
If at any time you are not satisfied with the quality of services provided by our application, you may raise a support ticket within 7 days of your subscription purchase through our in-app Help & Support section, or contact our customer care team at [email protected], with a clear reason for your dissatisfaction.
If your issue is found to be genuine, your subscription may be considered for a credit, replacement, or refund at our discretion. Otherwise, your complaint will be noted and considered for the respective resolution in future updates.
You hereby confirm and agree that you will not claim or allege anything against HeloDear concerning digital content or emotional support sessions provided to you through the app, beyond the refund process described above.
The rights and remedies available under this Policy may be exercised as often as necessary and are cumulative and not exclusive of rights or remedies provided by law. Any waiver of rights under this Policy must be made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of HeloDear.
Delay in exercising or non-exercise of any such right or remedy does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy, or any other right or remedy. A waiver of any particular breach does not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
If we change our privacy policies and procedures, we will post those changes on our website and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notification to keep you aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may disclose it. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
